Notice & Takedown
Download It is a search and discovery service that operates as an intermediary provider of information and hyperlinks. We respect the intellectual property of others and expect our users to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), we have adopted the following policy toward copyright infringement.
1. Non-Hosting Service
Download It does not host, store, or distribute any media files, game installers, torrent files, or copyrighted material on its own servers. We act solely as a search engine that indexes metadata and links from third-party, publicly available sources.
Because the content is hosted on external servers beyond our control, we cannot physically remove the infringing material from the internet. To permanently remove content, you must contact the third-party host directly.
2. Takedown Procedure
While we cannot remove content from third-party sites, we can and will remove metadata or search results (links) from our application upon receipt of a valid notification of claimed infringement.
DMCA Notification Requirements
To be effective under the DMCA, your notification must be in writing and include the following:
- •A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
- •Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (e.g., a link to the original work).
- •Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing and that is to be removed (specifically the URL or ID within Download It).
- •Information reasonably sufficient to permit us to contact you, such as an address, telephone number, and email address.
- •A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- •A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
WARNING: Under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material or activity is infringing may be subject to liability.
